It was a beautiful early Fall day. Originally Angie looked at outdoor venues, but with Sept. being so questionable weatherwise, she went with the faculty building at Washington University. It certainly was a neat venue. She was still able to have her wedding outside, but had the whole house for the day, and evening, too.
I wish I could say I had a great time all day, but there were some tense moments. First coming when Coni Schneiderjans came up and said she redid all the flower bouquets and arrangements I did. I was happy to have been able to contribute to the wedding, now it was pushed aside. She said her fridge got too cold and some of the flowers got burnt, but I wonder if it's her perfectionism. I also remember Angie being mad at me for something, don't remember what now, but that didn't help. I also asked if the photographer could take a group picture of us and was told she was only doing candids. Later they decided to do a family photo and tried to make me feel guilty about it. Good thing was I had family from Oregon there so I spent most my time visiting with them. And taking my own pictures of them---good thing, too, since the candids didn't include any of the family that came from a long distance away.
But I think the wedding and party was beautiful. Hopefully everyone had a good time, especially Angie and Josh.
Her beautiful off the rack wedding dress. I went with her to look for gowns and this was the first one she saw. After seeing many more, she went back and got it. Got it from the wedding dress shop across the street from where she went to grade school. I remember her telling me one day when she was in school there that some day she was getting her wedding dress from there.
